Refitted in Hong Kong to accommodate 350 first-class passengers, it operated famous round-the-world and trans-Pacific cargo-passenger services alongside sister ships like the Oriental Rio and Oriental Carnaval.
These dedicated global passenger routes ceased, and the vessel was sold for scrap in 1976.
