Old Hand Turned Wood Salt & Pepper Shakers - Set of 3 Painted Primitive Folk ArtOverview
Distinctive older three-piece set of hand-turned wooden salt, pepper or seasoning shakers with painted primitive / folk-art decoration.
All three pieces share the same warm red, brown, green and natural wood palette with geometric banding and stylized leaf motifs. The pieces vary slightly in height, width and shape, but clearly coordinate as a group.
The exact age and origin are unknown. The hand-turned construction, drilled wooden tops, aged surface, paint wear and shrinkage cracks suggest considerable age. These were acquired together from an estate.

Condition
Pre-owned older condition with substantial age-related character. The wood shows surface wear, fading, paint loss, discoloration, small marks and visible shrinkage/age cracks.
One shaker top removes normally for filling, as shown in the photos. The tops on the other two appear stuck and were intentionally not forced in order to avoid damaging the aged wood.
The painted surfaces have not been cleaned, polished, oiled or restored. They are being offered in their current estate-found condition.
Measurements
The three pieces measure approximately 3 to 3-5/8 inches tall. Widths vary slightly. Please see the ruler photo for direct size comparison.

Operation Notes
These have not been filled or tested with salt, pepper or other seasonings. One removable top was checked and opens normally. The remaining two tops were left in place because they appear tight from age.
