Sourced from the high-altitude terrain of the Pikes Peak region, this wood is a genuine survivor of the historic Big Burn of 1854—the massive, three-week wildfire that reshaped over 70 miles of the front range from Fort Carson up to Wilkerson Pass.A close look at the cleanly cut cross-section reveals tight, slow-growth concentric rings.
