Up for sale is an original Pearl Harbor Survivor Commemorative Medal presentation set authorized by Congress under Public Law 101-510 and produced by the United States Mint in recognition of the 50th Anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor.
These medals were only given to survivors and is not a reproduction
This commemorative award was available only to verified military personnel and civilian personnel who were present in Hawaii on December 7, 1941. Applications were limited to a brief eligibility period, making these sets increasingly difficult to obtain today.

Design:
Obverse: Battleships in combat with the inscriptions “Remember Pearl Harbor,” “December 7, 1941,” and “Act of Congress 1990.”
Reverse: American eagle perched on a laurel branch with the inscription “For Those Who Served,” surrounded by President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s famous words, “A Date Which Will Live In Infamy.”
Condition:
Excellent vintage condition. The medals display an attractive natural bronze patina. Ribbon colors remain bright and vibrant. Original presentation case is included. Please review all photographs carefully for exact condition and contents.
