PATTERN & DESIGN

Produced by Northwood during the early Carnival Glass era, the Smooth Rays pattern features bold radiating rib panels flowing upward from the base into a softly scalloped and ruffled rim. The dark amethyst body color combined with the strong marigold iridescence creates a dramatic oil-slick rainbow effect under light. The elegant pedestal compote shape makes this a highly displayable early American Carnival Glass form.
