Navajo sandpainting titled \"Creation Story,\" an authentic Native American Southwest work of art presented matted and framed in an oak-tone wood frame. The artwork is made of natural colored sand applied to board, with a textured relief surface in earth tones of terracotta, white, black, teal-green and gray on a tan sand ground. The composition shows traditional Navajo ceremonial figures, cross motifs and symbolic elements arranged across a horizontal panel. The back of the piece carries a printed label reading \"Authentic Navajo Sandpainting,\" explaining that sandpaintings originate from Navajo healing ceremonies and that this Navajo symbol of healing is now appreciated as a work of art. A second hand-written label on the back gives the title \"Creation Story\" in pencil along with the artist\'s signature.
