Here is an original NOS stem mount \"SHIMANO POSITRON\" 3-speed stick shifter for your mid-late 1970s muscle bike/BMX crossover bicycle. I believe this was from a Huffy or the era of Schwinn \"Hurricane\" Stingray type bikes when Schwinn was transitioning from the Stingray banana seat bikes to the BMX era bikes. These were only out for a couple of years and you rarely see them in any condition. It fits the bikes with the \"bread box\" style seats. In reality, you could install on most any muscle bike, (krate, Stingray, rail, eliminator, etc but is \"correct\" for the later models) You could even install this on an adult bike with 26\" wheels! How cool would that be?!
These are VERY hard to find in any condition and I am very sure you will never see these reproduced. Includes the shifter with cable shown AND the hard to find mount! I believe this fits 20\" muscle bikes like the Huffy, Stingray Hurricane, possibly late 70s Phantom, Scrambler, etc etc etc. This was a rare era so this stuff is very hard to find! BE SURE to compare before you offer to be sure this will be right for you! Includes the shifter, and everything shown. Console is plastic, shift lever is metal. Would be really cool to install on a full size 5-speed bike as well! (custom, hot rod, rat rod, Collegiate, Suburban, Corvette, etc etc etc) Use your imagination and GET CREATIVE! Make your bike stand out from the crowd!
This one is NEW OLD STOCK and has never been installed on a bicycle. Great for your favorite bike or display case. May have some age from storage etc. Please keep your expectations real.
