This is a MINT GREEN STRIPED PELIKAN Gunther Wagner SET from the 400NN series.
The nib is crafted from 14k 585 gold and is a M- Medium. It is smooth, flexy and features a good line variation, as can be seen on the writing sample.
The pens are in mint, almost NOS condition, as you can see on the pictures. There are no cracks visible anywhere on them. The nib collar is also not cracked. The ink window is clear and there is no ink residue on it.
They come in their original lovely green pouch and with the original instruction manual/ guarantee. The pouch does have some marks from being moved around. Both the fountain pen and the pencil have their manual/ guarantee paper, which is rare to find.
The fountain pen even still has the original nib size sticker, although it has faded a bit.
The pencil uses 1.18mm leads(included in it) and uses a push button mechanism.
The nib writes well and the pen has received a full service, which included full disassembly, thorough cleaning and lubrication of moving parts with silicone.
These pens were commissioned by Farbwerke Hoechst, which was a major German chemical and pharmaceutical company founded in 1863. They were either a gift for a devoted employee, or a valued customer. They were a very big company and I had multiple pens and sets they commissioned from multiple German brands. The company engraving is on the cap of the fountain pen and the pencil. I could remove it without a trace, but I prefer to leave it as it is a part of these pens' history. At the request of the customer, I can remove the engravings.
I have provided a writing sample using Pelikan 4001 blue tint, in order to further describe the writing characteristics of the nib. Please keep in mind that I am a left handed writer.
Shipping is with DHL/Fedex Express, usually takes 1-5 days worldwide. In most cases, there are no custom duties for my customers, however I cannot guarantee this, thus any possible customs chargers are the buyers response.
The pens are guaranteed authentic
