This beautiful 8x10 photo depicts the Northrop N156F Freedom Fighter prototype. It has been hand-signed by Chief Northrop test Pilot Hank Chouteau and USAF test pilot Norvin "Bud" Evans. Both pilots flew extensively in the N156F development program as well as the YF-5A successor program.
The N156F was first flown on July 30, 1959, at Edwards AFB and went supersonic its first time out.
This will make a terrific addition to any USAF flight test history collection!
