Every RMJ Tactical tomahawk on the market today traces its bloodline back to one design.
Before there was an RMJ Tactical, Ryan Johnson spent years forging reproductions of the hawks carried in the French and Indian War. In the spring of 2001, members of the USAF 820th Security Forces commissioned him to take those 18th-century lines and build them for modern combat. By that fall, the result was in Afghanistan.
They named it the Eagle Talon.
What Ryan changed was the part that fails. A frontier hawk is a head fitted onto a wooden haft, and that joint is where it gives out. The Talon is one piece of steel, head and handle together, so the head can never separate from the handle. It was the first all-steel integral tomahawk, and every RMJ hawk since has been built on it.
This is the S7 Edition. 18 inches overall, 31 ounces, a 2.88\" flat-ground edge on 3/8\"-thick American-made S7 tool steel running 57-58 HRC. Below the edge, a sharpened, hollow-ground beard to hook and pull. Opposite it, a 3\" distal-tapered spike rated for tempered glass, sheet metal, hardened padlocks, and a standard Kevlar helmet. Tungsten Cerakote, 3D-contoured G10, Grade 5 titanium fasteners, molded Kydex sheath with low-ride M.O.C. straps. Breach it, chop it, pry it, end it. This is not a tool that negotiates.
ARMA POTENTE — consequential tools for the discerning man.
