💲 **$245 OBOAn outstanding example of one of California’s most recognizable mineral associations. This specimen comes from the world-famous **Benitoite Gem Mine**, but to be clear, **this is not a Benitoite specimen**. What makes this piece special is the combination of highly lustrous **Neptunite crystals rising from brilliant white Natrolite** across the contrasting blue-gray host matrix. The Neptunite has that classic near-black appearance, but under good lighting you can catch subtle deep reddish-brown tones within some of the crystals. Multiple sharp prismatic crystals are spread across the specimen, including several substantial crystals that stand prominently above the Natrolite. The contrast is fantastic — glossy black Neptunite against snow-white Natrolite with patches of the blue-gray matrix exposed throughout. Even the backside shows the unusual texture and character of the host rock from this legendary California locality. The **Benitoite Gem Mine is one of the most famous mineral localities in the United States**, and specimens from the deposit have become increasingly desirable among locality and classic-mineral collectors.A beautiful, highly recognizable California classic with excellent shelf presence for its size.**$245 OBO#Neptunite #Natrolite #BenitoiteGemMine #CaliforniaMinerals #MineralSpecimen
