Up for sale is a complete, authentic official NASA Space Flight Awareness presentation set commemorating the Phase 1 Shuttle-Mir Program.This historic lot includes:

1. The Flown Flag Presentation Certificate: Features an authentic fabric flag flown to the Russian Mir Space Station aboard the Space Shuttle Discovery during the historic STS-91 mission (launched June 2, landed June 12, 1998). It is personalized to Joe A. Ferreri and features the signatures of NASA Administrator Daniel S. Goldin and Phase 1 Program Manager Frank L. Culbertson, Jr.
2. The Official Transmittal Letter: Dated November 2, 1998, on official NASA Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center letterhead. This letter was issued directly to the JSC team to thank them upon the completion of the Phase 1 Program and features the signature of JSC Director George W. S. Abbey.

STS-91 was the final docking mission of the Phase 1 Program, making this entire set a highly significant archival collection from the dawn of the International Space Station era.
Condition:
