Add a classic piece of American pin-up art to your collection with this vintage Mutoscope “Who Said Anchors Away?” pin-up card.
The colorful nautical illustration features a glamorous sailor-themed pin-up posed with a large anchor against a vivid blue background. Additional sketched sailor figures surround the central artwork, creating a distinctive unfinished-art/study appearance.
The front is marked:
“WHO SAID ANCHORS AWAY?”
“A MUTOSCOPE CARD”
“PRINTED IN U.S.A.”
The artwork is signed in the lower-left area and is associated with illustrator K.O. Munson, known for his mid-century pin-up artwork.
Approximately 3¼” wide × 5¼” tall, based on the ruler photographs.
The reverse is plain and unprinted.
These colorful Mutoscope cards are collectible examples of mid-century American pin-up, arcade, amusement, military and popular-culture ephemera. The sailor theme makes this example especially appealing for nautical, Navy, WWII-era and vintage pin-up collections.

HUMOROUS DESCRIPTION
⚓ Who said anchors away? Apparently not this sailor!
She seems perfectly happy keeping that anchor right where it is—and judging by the artwork, the anchor doesn’t appear to be complaining either.
A fun little survivor from the golden age of American pin-up art that’s ready to drop anchor in a new collection.
