I purchased this directly from a reputable importer who contracts with phosphate mines in Morocco to recover ancient fossils and restores them.
This is a reconstructed skull meaning broken bones of a Mosasaur have been pieced back together. I have been asked many times if reconstructed skulls are really authentic. A great way to confirm that they are is to go to a reputable museum or museum's web site and look at their fossil displays. Most of those displays are constructed with very little bone and mostly plaster.
