This is an absolutely beautiful, NEVER INKED, STORED IN A PEN BOX fountain pen, #766 of a very limited run. 1000? 2000? I see both numbers and can\'t vouch for either, but you definitely won\'t find another one around in this condition, especially for anything close to this price. It was made as Montegrappa’s annual pen in 2000. It comes COMPLETE WITH ALL ORIGINAL PACKAGING, including booklet and un-played CD-ROM. It is a beautiful crimson resin overlayed with sterling silver. The attention to detail is incredible. It is engraved with chessboard pattern in low relief. The end of the cap is shaped like a rook.
This piston-fed fountain pen has an 18k gold medium nib with platinum overlay and iridium tip. Oversized reservoir with hand-carved ebonite feed.
The wooden rook-shaped box is fabulous and can easily be used to store jewelry or other treasures. It is approx. 9” wide and 4” tall.
