Minty Rare 1950s Swedish Army Officer\'s Leather Trench Coat Lined US 40 EU 50 For Sale

For sale by its original civilian owner is a rare vintage 1950s Swedish Army officer\'s full-length double-breastedblack leather trench coat in excellent, very lightly used condition, US size 40, EU size 50. Made in Sweden and purchased as international surplus in the 1980s, this coat has only been worn once or twice by its current owner since its original issue (unclear if this coat was ever in service; it may have remained in storage after its manufacture). This heavyweight (8 lbs!), heavily chromed leather military trench coat remains supple (despite the stiffness and durability of its military spec construction) and shows only minor blemishes/marks and superficial cracking, all commensurate with its age. It is lined with a soft brown felt and features removeable gray wool liner secured by internal buttons for added warm in cold/wet conditions. The buttons on the epaulets and sleeve cuffs are functional; the belt is secure by a plain metal buckle and two \"keeper\" loops. There are two external hip pockets, a leather hang tab inside the collar, and a leather reinforced slit with metal buckled security strap designed to allow the wearer to attach a sword belt or pistol holster to the outside of the coat.
