This MINT Green Striated PELIKAN 100N Gunther Wagner is in lovely condition and an amazing writer.
The nib is crafted from 14k 585 gold and is an OM- Oblique Medium. It features a very good line variation and is very smooth, as can be seen in the writing sample.
The pen is in mint condition, as you can see in the pictures. There are no cracks visible anywhere on it. The nib collar is also not cracked. The ink window is clear and there is no ink residue on it.
The 100N came after the 100 and is the last of the 100 series. Later, Pelikan rolled out the 140 and 400, although the 100N was made for some time after the 400 was released. This is a later version, with the silicone piston gasket, which was much more durable than the ones that came before it. It still has the older nib, as some very late 100N pens got the chick logo nib like in the 400NN.
The nib writes well and the pen has received a full service, which included full disassembly, thorough cleaning and lubrication of moving parts with silicone.
I have provided a writing sample using Pelikan 4001 blue tint, in order to further describe the writing characteristics of the nib. Please keep in mind that I am a left handed writer.
