Was Natural Micarta, But updated the looks about a 8 months agoMicarta Scales Dyed with R.I.T synthetic Graphite ( Black ).All New McNees Hardware in Ano Purple.I Never Carried this Knife but did cut a few boxes open with it, so may have a few snails.Knife has Factory edge still, I have not sharpened. But very sharp and opening is still snappy like the day I bought it
