Stunning Le Papillon Barbie, designed by legendary fashion designer Bob Mackie exclusively for FAO Schwarz in celebration of Barbie’s 40th anniversary.
This elaborate limited-edition collector doll was inspired by the butterfly, with Bob Mackie’s dramatic black and vivid pink design extending into spectacular butterfly wings and coordinating headdress.
This example retains its original Mattel shipping carton, marked “LE PAPILLON BARBIE 23276-9993,” along with the original black presentation box. Inside are the original presentation tissue and ribbons as well as the illustrated Bob Mackie designer-sketch portfolio.
The packaging lists the original contents as Barbie doll, gown, headdress, jewelry, hose, pumps, doll stand, booklet, designer sketch and Certificate of Authenticity.
