I've been told it's natural but i don't know for sure I do know it is big...very big  & heavy. It's black inside red outside, it's magnetic & its old I know that and also fragile. It has almost a dendritic crystal structure mixed with acicular...i know crazy. There was one other I could find and they say it's rail grindings from the 1800's and it's much smaller and they are asking $5,000.00 for it..idk, I guess it's worth that more than a black diamond version of Pinocchio which I saw listed for 50 grand last week lol. I might not know for sure what it is but I do know the finest artist on earth could not match it. It's incredible and it would look Amazing on a mantle or shelf literally  anywhere. It's a thing of Beauty and I've kept 1..I cant let go, they're too awesome. Im as curious as you are of its worth  it's origin and the processes that made it what it is
