A rare and imposing 16.5-inch hand-carved statue of St. Anthony of Padua and the Christ Child. Crafted from traditional white Sillar (volcanic stone) from the Arequipa region of Peru.
• Details:
Features beautiful hand-painted polychrome details and a heavy, tiered pedestal base. This is a monumental piece with significant decorative presence.
• Condition:
This is an antique/vintage devotional item. Both the head of St. Anthony and the Child Jesus have old, stable structural repairs (heads) where they were reattached (see close-up photos).
There is expected surface wear and minor chipping to the porous stone, adding to its authentic colonial character.
