National No.3 portable typewriter serial numbered 5375 which dates it to 1918.
This is literally a museum quality piece. It still has the museum accession number on the back.
Cosmetically, the typewriter is excellent. Quite clean and complete. Displays really well.
Functionally, the carriage advances and returns well by spacebar but gets hung up with the rest of the keyboard so it will need a minor adjustment for regular use. Paper feeds well.
An original case is included with obvious wear.
