What an impressive and elegant piece of antique Majolica this large figurine is. Piece measures 15.5"H x 13"W. Figural grouping features an 18th century dressed courting couple. He is leaning on a curved rock wall and she sits on it with her fan, he holds a bouquet behind his back. There is an urn on top of gate post next to the lady. Impressed maker's marks on underside. The only possible damage I find (and i needed a magnifying glass for this, is the urn could have been replaced into place, again hard to see but I want to describe anything at all.
