Difficult to part with, this cocktail shaker has always been one of my very top favorites in my collection. You will never find it in better condition – it is like new!Design & Manufacturing Highlights

• The Glass: The body is crafted from heavy, deep black amethyst glass,a signature color profile popularized during the 1930s by the iconic American glass house, the Cambridge Glass Company.While it looks stark black under ambient light, it displays a rich purple hue when held directly up to a strong light source. An additional indication of only the highest quality, this cocktail shaker has a ground glass bottom (as shown).
• The Silver Overlay: The detailed equestrian motif by the Rockwell Silver Company, depicts a traditional English fox hunt, complete with a rider on horseback, hunting hounds in mid-stride, and stylized trees. It is still in its original thickly-applied condition (as shown). This sterling silver overlay process was an expensive luxury finish during the Art Deco movement.
• The Hardware: It features a stepped, tiered chrome-plated metal lid with self-strainer and cap assembly.The architectural, stepped rings on the shoulder mimic the iconic skyscraper designs popularized by American Art Deco architects during the period. This \"rocket top\" is the most desireable of the era and was only used on the manufacturer\'s best offerings.

This exceptional cocktail shaker stands 11.25\" tall and is 3.875\" in diameter at the shoulder. It has been in my personal collection since the mid-1980s and has been very well cared for.
