MCM Rorstrand Lidded Kolorita Bowl By Hertha Bengston For Sale

This Rörstrand lidded bowl is a vintage Swedish ceramic piece distinguished by its subtle elegance and classic Scandinavian design sensibilities. Attributed to the iconic Swedish designer, Hertha Bengtson, it is a glazed in a soft celadon-green with a slight sheen. Both the bowl and lid feature vertical fluted/ribbed relief, giving it a clean, structured look. The lid has a raised circular knob that is integrated smoothly into the form. The bowl has a gently tapered shape, widening at the rim and narrowing toward the base. The color and glazing are reminiscent of mid-century Scandinavian ceramics, where muted greens and subtle textures were common. The form is functional yet sculptural — typical of Rörstrand’s mid-20th-century approach to everyday ceramics.
