Authentic antique can label for YELLOW CLING PEACHES from the LETTS-PARKER GROCER Co. of St. Louis, MO. Sharp observers will notice the monogram on the right has a big \"W\" in it, but nothing on the label starts with W. Letts-Parker bought out the previous packer, Western Grocer Mills sometime around 1920. This is a label that hadn\'t been used yet, so the new company used them up, replacing just their name in the lower right, before buying new ones. This label also has a date stamp on the back - JUN 26 1918. My guess is that it was printed then, then intended for use in the 1920s. However, it was never used, hence it is still in good condition.Yet another note, there is no printer\'s credit on this label, but it was probably printed by the Calvert Litho Co. of Detroit. Other May-Flower labels from this time period credit Calvert Litho.
