An original period black-and-white Warner Bros. photograph featuring actress Martha Vickers, best remembered for her role as Carmen Sternwood in the classic film noir The Big Sleep (1946).
This photograph relates to the Warner Bros. production The Man I Love, directed by Raoul Walsh and released in 1947, in which Vickers played Virginia “Ginny” Brown.
The original period typed caption remains attached to the reverse and reads:
“Martha Vickers, featured in the Warner Bros. production, The Man I Love, practices beating a tom tom under the supervision of Billy Barnes, drummer and orchestra leader who appears in this production.”
