It deals with the Rabbi’s of the Old Yishuv and their ban against letting the new “schools”, ie those teaching secular studies, to be able to teach the children of the ultra Orthodox community.Section 3 deals with the ban on a girls school which taught the girls a trade and the modern Hebrew language. On the title page the publisher states that these bans are actually from 1866 and were agreed upon from the Rabbi’s in Israel as well as those in the Diaspora. The names of Ashkenazi as well as Sefardi Rabbi’s are mentioned including Rabbi Yehuda Petaya, M. Auerbach, Abulafia, Abdullah Sumak, Samuel Tzadka, and many more.
