A wonderful vintage M.I. Hummel / Goebel matched bookend set featuring the classic Apple Tree Girl and Apple Tree Boy, HUM 252 A & 252 B.
Each porcelain Hummel figure is mounted on its original wooden bookend base and surrounded by the distinctive wooden rail design. Apple Tree Girl features the young girl in her red headscarf and blue skirt climbing among the branches, while Apple Tree Boy wears his green cap and blue jacket while sitting in the apple tree.
This pair features the early Goebel Full Bee trademark inside the large “V”, commonly identified by collectors as the TMK-2 Full Bee mark. Both wooden bases also display the M.J. Hummel signature.

• Vintage vintage condition. Both porcelain figures display beautifully with attractive colors. No obvious chips, cracks, or repairs were observed during inspection. The wooden bookend bases show age-appropriate wear, including light scratches, scuffs, and finish wear. The felt on the bottoms shows considerable age, discoloration, and wear.
The bookends have been left in their vintage condition and have not been refinished or restored.
Please review all photographs carefully, including the close-up photographs of the Goebel trademarks, M.J. Hummel signatures, wooden bases, and bottom felt, as the photos are an important part of the condition description.
