Ludington Carferry PM 18 For Sale

Ludington Carferry Pere Marquette 18.This is a postcard that ship that sunk on September 9th, 1910.The card is post marked July 6th, 1909.There were 62 passengers and crew on board. 27 of them perished and two members of the rescue ship the PM 17 died.She was found in 2020 in 500 feet of water about 25 miles off the coast of Sheboygan.Going against tradition, a new PM carferry was built and named the Pere Marquette 18 in 1911.This card is a great piece of Great Lakes history.
