Large Mazon Creek Laveineopteris rarinervis, Coal City, Illinois:
$200.00
A very nice pair with lots of arched and sweeping leaves. The fossil has been brushed with a solution of water and water-soluble glue to bring out its contrast to the matrix. If you don’t like that preparation, just soak the nodule in warm water, and the glue will dissolve. But I’d just leave it alone. The nodule measures approximately 5 1/4” x 3 3/4” x 1/2” and weighs 13.4 ounces. Free US shipping only.
