This is a handcrafted and hand-painted Mexican ceramic Lupita doll (specifically the "Batea Monarca" or butterfly platter design) created by the Najaco family from traditional artisan pottery traditions.
These decorative folk art figurines depict a traditional woman with painted facial features and floral hair adornments, holding a miniature decorated platter (batea) featuring a monarch butterfly and purple flowers.
The style evolved from 19th-century Mexican cartonería (papier-mâché) dolls into fine contemporary ceramics
