Retired Collectible Porcelain • Exceptional ConditionA beautiful and increasingly difficult-to-find retired Lladró, “An Embroidery Lesson” (El Bordado), Item #01006713, sculpted by Regino Torrijos.This substantial porcelain composition beautifully captures a mother teaching a young girl the art of embroidery while seated together on an intricately detailed sofa. From the delicate embroidery and basket to the folds of their dresses, floral accents, and ornate furniture, the craftsmanship is exceptional from every angle.Issued in 2000 and retired in 2003, “An Embroidery Lesson” had a relatively brief production period and is a particularly impressive example of Lladró’s larger narrative pieces.CONDITIONThis piece is in mint condition and has been meticulously cared for and proudly displayed.It has remained with the same family since its original purchase and has no chips, cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can identify. The porcelain retains its beautiful original glossy finish and soft pastel coloration.Please note that there is an area of yellow coloration within the glaze underneath the embroidery fabric held by the woman. This is within the glazed finish itself and is not associated with a break, crack, repair, or restoration.
