Today I am offering this fabulous Kitty\'s Critters Frenchie Pig Figurine #8625.

This is a super hard-to-find cold-cast and hand-painted whimsical art  sculpture.

Frenchie is a flying pig (or at least she wants to be!)

She had a sweet smiling face, and a charming curly tail.

Her angel-esque white wings are tied around her tummy and knotted on the top.

(This feature is sculpted into the specialized material and not an actual tie-on, so it stays put and isn\'t removable.)

This collectible Kitty\'s Critters Frenchie Pig figurine (2008 Model #8625) by artist Kitty Cantrell is masterfully crafted from heavy cold-cast porcelain resin material called \"Cultured Porcelon\".

Porcelon is a composite material of fine powdered porcelain dust and blended with a high impact resin to produce a durable and lasting product. They are then hand painted and special glazed with rich vibrant colors.

This retired piece features a glossy, deeply saturated dappled or mottled pink-colored finish that perfectly captures the signature whimsical and quirky charm of the Kitty\'s Critters line.

The figurine measures approximately as follows:

• 3\" high
• 4\" long from snout to tail
• 2\" wide from side to side

It is marked on the underside of her plump belly in metallic gold lettering as follows:

She is in excellent vintage pre-owned condition with minimal age wear.

There is a small scuff in the white paint on the tip of her wing.

It\'s not chipped so it\'s an easy repair.

I can\'t find another one like this available anywhere on the interwebs.

PROVENANCE:

This is a special piggy.

It belonged to my late friend Valerie.

She collected many things and flying pigs was just one of those.

Valerie Allthetime (Valerie DePonty)

from the legendary 1970s Seattle counterculture performance art troupe, Ze Whiz Kidz! ! An incredible piece of Northwest cultural and theater history.

The Legacy: Ze Whiz Kidz were absolute trailblazers in the Seattle glitter-rock and underground mini-musical scene. They even famously opened for Alice Cooper at the Paramount Theatre back in 1971.

A True Original: Valerie was one of the actual, core women in that famously flamboyant, amorphous cast. Ephemera and flyers from her shows are literally preserved in museums like Seattle\'s Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP).

She was a true artist and counterculture icon who curated unique, quirky pieces such as flying pigs.
