Killer Chalcocite & Pyrite pseudo Covellite Crystals Anselmo Mine Butte Montana For Sale

I\'m gone on my way to Nevada beginning tomorrow for prospecting and mineral collecting. I will be away from my computer for most of the day but will answer messages each evening. Please feel free to purchase any specimens and I will ship them promptly as soon as I get home towards the end of June. And definitely stay posted because I\'m sure I\'ll be listing some amazing minerals from Nevada that I have found when I return.CheersMichaelOwner of North Carolina Minerals LLCHere offered is an unusual specimen consisting of iridescent covellite crystals that have been partially pseudomorphed by chalcocite and pyrite. However upon closer examination, it appears some the covellite are as pseudomorphs after chalcocite and pyrite as well. There are quite a few very nice covellite crystals that show some of that beautiful and classic rainbow sheen. Specimens from the Anselmo mine are not nearly as common as from the other larger producers in the district like the Leonard and Steward Mines. The specimen comes with a label from George Loud and says the specimen was in the collection of Dr. Robert Jenkins before that. This is another old-time piece likely collected around the 1960s and probably even earlier than that. Very nice large thumbnail specimen that comes mounted in a perky box with a label in the box as well.
