This is an excellent Stereo card of the view looking across the Lagoon from the Electrical Court, A Century of Progress Exposition, Chicago, Illinois. It is from the Very Rare Keystone “A Century of Progress” 50 card set (the cards are numbered 1 to 50) from 1933. The card is titled "Twilight Reflections – W. across Lagoon from Electrical Court, A Century of Progress, Chicago, 1933." with a position number of 28 and a Keystone negative number of 32988. This card is in near mint to mint condition and measures 3 1/2" by 7”. The back of the card is blank except for a small imprint on the right edge of the mount that reads: “Kaufmann & Fabry - Official Photographers A Century of Progress – 1933”. This international exposition was a World's Fair held in Chicago, Illinois that opened on May 27, 1933 and ran through 1934. The theme of the fair was technological innovations and the fair's motto was "Science Finds, Industry Applies, Man Adapts." Stereoviews or Stereo Cards have two nearly identical images mounted side by side. When looked at through a stereo viewer they give a three-dimensional image. Most popular from 1854 to 1938, they were produced in vast quantities, and many are of historical interest. They usually measure about 3 ½” by 7”.
Domestic buyers (including Alaska, Hawaii, US Territories, APO, or FPO) to prepay $12.00 shipping and handling for insured Priority Mail (mailed in a box) or $7.50 for Ground Advantage Mail (mailed in an envelope between two pieces of cardboard). All shipping charges include tracking. First Class Mail to Canada is $21.00 and First Class Mail to the UK or most other countries is $26.00. Save on shipping by having multiple items shipped together. Shipping and handling for additional cards is just $0.25 each to the US, $1.50 each to Canada, or $2.00 each worldwide if paid for and shipped together. All items must be paid for in one payment from my revised invoice showed the reduced combined shipping to get the maximum stated discount. You can request the total or just wait for me to send the revised invoice. If you overpay the shipping or especially if you make more than one payment, you will pay more.
