This is a Keystone stereoview of Japanese farmland from the early 1900s. Rows of clipped tea bushes cover the upland slope in the foreground, and the flooded rice paddies of the lowlands spread out below in an irregular patchwork that catches the light. The wide, open view shows the stereo depth well, and it is an unusual agricultural subject for Japan. Cards from Asia are in demand among collectors, and this one documents two of the country\'s key crops in one scene.
