Translated \" Map for the Autumn Maneuvers of the 16th Division 1892\". A large map into a grid of 15 separate blocks gluing them to the linen prevents the map from tearing or wearing down. This map would have been under the control of the staff of the 16th division of the imperial Germany Army Division command based at peacetime headquarters in Tier, a major garrison city in western Germany. A very rare map. 21x23 inches. These cloth-backed maps were issued to upper tier officers overseeing the infantry and the cavalry units participating in the mock battles.
