Beautiful genuine Guatemalan jadeite necklace purchased by me from the Jades, S.A. store at the Westin Hotel in Guatemala City, Guatemala in 2010.
The pendant is carved from pale green/gray Guatemalan jadeite in the form of a stylized Maya/pre-Columbian face or mask. It is suspended from a delicate gold-filled chain with small gold-tone bead accents.
The necklace retains its original Jades, S.A. presentation box and original bag. The clasp/chain also bears a very small hallmark, photographed as closely as possible. Please refer to the detailed photographs for the marking.
Jades, S.A. was established in Guatemala in 1974 and became known for Guatemalan jadeite jewelry and reproductions inspired by ancient Maya and other pre-Columbian designs.
Condition: Pre-owned vintage condition. Jade pendant presents beautifully with natural variation in color and texture. Chain shows normal age/use.
