Up for sale is a substantial, authentic antique Jennings Brothers (JB) Elephant Figurine, expertly crafted in Bridgeport, CT (circa 1920s–1940s).The \"JB Metal\" Core: While these items are often mistaken for solid brass or bronze due to their incredible weight, they were actually cast using a proprietary high-quality white metal / spelter (often referred to as pot metal).The Premium Plating: To achieve a museum-quality finish, the heavy cast core was treated with a sophisticated bronze plating or chemical wash (often called \"French Bronze\"). This created deep, rich patinas that beautifully highlighted the textures of the elephant\'s skin.No Structural Breaks: The casting is structurally intact with no cracked legs, no broken tusks, and no trunk repairs.
