About This Teapot
This Iwachu Japanese cast iron teapot features a striking deep pink finish accented with raised gold-tone floral decoration. The traditional rounded cast-iron body is paired with a black arched handle and removable lid.
The original hanging tag identifies the piece as Iwachu and Nambu Cast Ironware / Morioka, Japan. The underside is also marked MADE IN JAPAN. The original box carries the Iwachu logo and item number 480-027.
A removable metal mesh tea infuser is included, making this a functional tea-brewing piece as well as an attractive example of Japanese cast ironware.
