Up for sale is an impressive example of a US Army Indian Wars era 48th New York Militia Tunic. This example is in fair condition overall for its age, with a handful of repaired holes in the material, visible in the photos. Complete with all the front 5 buttons. Sleeve chevrons present, though these seem like they were possibly added by a prior collector, as they are not part of the sleeve seam. 48th New York Regiment collars in nice condition overall. A costume company stamp remains on the interior arm lining, shown in the photos. Pit to pit measurement of roughly 16-1/2 inches. A great historical piece for a collection or museum display!!
