INTERIOR J.R. LIBBY'S DRY GOODS STORE Congress St Portland Maine Photo-Print 1896.Showing a neat old view of the inside of the Store, asit looked then.
This is an Original Book-Plate Photo-Print (Not a Real Photo or Post-Card, just to be clear),carefully extracted directly from a Rare 1890's View and HistoryBook of parts of old Maine, as it looked in the 1890's. Not a Copy/Reprint or Reproduction. This actual print you will receive is about 120+ years-old.Printed on thick quality semi-gloss antique paper from 1890's.
Note: Actual Print looks much better and clearer than my pics can show.
Very Good Condition for it's age, very light fading or toning to the antique paper. No marks or creases. It measures approx. (10" x 7-1/4") Inches (edge-to-edge),and the photo-image alone is about (9" x 6") Inches, and would look great matted and/ or framed, for a Maine/Portland/ Collector and/or Historian, or placed in a Maine History Scrapbook.
The Back-Side of the print has some unrelated text and small ads, which do Not show through due to the qualityand thickness of the paper that was used.
*Also, proof of age and source of print, will be sent along with the print to the buyer,by way of a copy of the publication cover/copyright page, showing the date of printing and source of print.
*Will be safely shipped flat, backed by sturdy cardboard on both sides to protect fromany bending/creasing or any other damage.
