Printed on heavy clay-coated stock, these are also known as “porcelain cards”.
A very attractive mid-19th century glazed pictorial trade card for F.J. de Buck of Ghent, “Huys-schilder en Glazemaker - Peintre d’Appartemts et Vitrier”. Printed in gold on white glaze-coated stock, the card illustrates a city street scene with workmen painting a building on one side and glazing windows on the other.
Card, 4.75”x3”. Light wear, minor soil to the front, stain, mounting marks and pencil calculations on the back.
