Hochst German Porcelain Figurine of a Young Boy For Sale

A fine German porcelain figurine from the Hochst Porcelain Manufactory, which is the 2nd oldest porcelain manufactory in Germany. This is a later piece, circa 1950, originally designed in the 18th century by the famous modeler Johann Peter Melchior. There is an incised number \"261\" on the base which is the code used by the factory to catalog Melchior\'s original design. There is also a handwritten painter\'s mark of \"415V\". The figure is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. It measures 4 inches high.
