Another Hobbs, Brockunier & Company Salt Shaker that is one of the finest I have seen in years. It is called an\"Opalescent Bulbous Swirl\". This is the exact salt shaker that is listed in the \"World of Salt Shakers\" by Mildred & Ralph Lechner.Second Addition on page 99. Circa: 1889-1892
It is mold blown with a vibrant cranberry colored glass with swirling white stripes. It has a \"ring top\" just below the threads, which has a metal lid that fits. The lid has 13 stars punched out on the top which looks awesome on the shaker. The shaker is bulbous and as you can see in the photos gets wider as it gets to the bottom.
Shaker is 2 5/8\" tall and approx. 2 1/8\" wide at the widest point. There are no chips or cracks and I see no wear at all for a shaker approx. 136 years old.
