This beautiful Herkimer Diamond Quartz cluster is from The Herkimer Diamond Mine KOA Resort in Middleville, New York!
It is comprised of 10 crystals with a small piece of druzy Dolostone matrix attached and has a total length of 2.78 inches. The crystals have good to moderate clarity with light smoky phantoms and some internal fractures which produce gorgeous internal rainbows. Sharp edges and top terminations. There are areas of host rock contact on the bottom and some of the bottom terminations where this was once attached to the host rock, but this specimen is in excellent condition overall.
As with many Herkimer Diamond cluster of this size, some reconstruction was required to prepare it.
