This incredible, world class smoky Herkimer Diamond Gem is from The Herkimer Diamond Mines KOA Resort in Middleville, New York!
Crystals of this quality over 1.25 inches are extremely rare, and this particular specimen measures an astonishing 2.29 inches long! The clarity and luster are absolutely perfect. There are gorgeous wispy smoky phantoms inside as well as some rainbows, but virtually no solid inclusions! No internal fractures, this is a solid jewel. There is one smaller crystal attached, which has a chipped termination. The only flaws on the main crystal are a key mark where the bottom termination would normally be found as well as one sheared off face on the back side. Specimens like this are beyond rare, you won't see many like this one!
