Hercules: Prince of Power #1-4 (Vol 1) - FN/FN+Marvel Comics 1982
(W/A/CA) Bob Layton
The 1982 Marvel Comics limited series Hercules, Prince of Power #1–4 (written and drawn by Bob Layton) follows a 24th-century alternate-universe version of Hercules as he travels through space:
• Issue #1: Zeus banishes Hercules from Olympus into outer space to teach him humility after his reckless and arrogant behavior. Accompained by a rigid Rigellian Recorder robot (Recorder 417), Hercules tries to find beings to test his strength, leading to a comedic brawl in a space bar.• Issues #2–3: Hercules wanders the cosmos, undergoing a series of cosmic quests, trying to process his exile, and attempting to forge a new identity away from his Olympian past.• Issue #4 (\"Not Just Another Galactus Story!\"): Hercules lands on the planet Ciegrim-7, where the local Brotherhood worships a \"God of Vengeance\" that turns out to be Galactus. After battling Galactus\'s herald, Nova (Frankie Raye), Hercules confronts the World Devourer directly. He attempts to get Galactus drunk with the strongest alcohol in the universe; Galactus sees through the ruse but is amused enough to spare the planet and move on.
