Handmade Russian Hand-Painted Matryoshka Nesting Doll w/ Wood Ornaments For Sale

Authentic vintage Russian Matryoshka "Surprise" capsule doll hand-painted and signed by folk artist Kruglova (Круглова) on the base. The large outer master shell features an incredibly detailed, classic Russian Winter Troika (three-horse carriage) scene set against a shimmering gold lacquer backdrop, complete with intricate scrollwork along the borders. Instead of standard sequential nesting shells, this unique collectible features a capsule mechanism that opens to reveal a festive holiday surprise—a full assortment of individual, hand-painted wooden miniatures equipped with strings to hang as Christmas tree ornaments. The miniature figurines include a classic Nutcracker/Soldier, a decorated Christmas tree, and a snowmen and village children wrapped in colorful winter folk clothing. Hand-turned from solid linden wood, the set is in excellent vintage condition with an original "Made in Russia" label attached to the interior. The colors remain exceptionally vibrant, the wood seals perfectly, and the protective lacquer coating provides a beautiful, high-gloss shine. A rare and highly sought-after find, perfect for collectors of authentic Russian folk art or premium holiday decor.
